It shook us a little when we heard Maggie from @bs It shook us a little when we heard Maggie from @bsfreebusiness say this on #dupedpodcast. This idea strains that conventional wisdom of our current era that tells us to chase subscriber counts above all else. We fine-tune ourselves to our online audience and constantly adapt to algorithms that seem hell-bent on destroying us, all for the noble cause of more. More engagement. More likes. More shares. But in the end, it’s old-school business wisdom that matters here: Subscribers are cold leads. And it takes a lot of work to convert even those cold leads who’ve *willingly* signed up to receive your content into paying clients. Who knows–they may only be there because they wanted your freebie! Huge email list counts may sound impressive, but subscriber counts don't directly correlate to sessions booked, courses enrolled in, or–bottom line–dollars spent. Email and social media engagement widens your net, sure, but in the end, the fish you’re so worried about catching might never buy from you, or even OPEN your emails for that matter. A few genuine client inquiries are MUCH better than thousands of followers. Those are people who saw your offer, sought you out, took the time to inquire, and want to talk to you more. And if what you’re doing now is enough to get as many of those as you want, then you sure don’t need to beat yourself up for not having boatloads of cold leads piling up. Followers are just that: followers. It’s seductive to gauge your success on your follower count, but those thousands of fans you’re envying on a competing brand’s profile aren’t necessarily their clients–and they might never be. Don’t get caught up in boosting your subscriber count if you’re happy with the number of client inquiries that are coming your way. It’s always good to boost engagement, but chasing numbers isn’t what you got into your line of work for, right? Grow your following by being authentic to you and that special something that you offer. I am thrilled about our latest website launch for I am thrilled about our latest website launch for Every Little Word. When they approached us, they already had some branding elements in place: a logo, an icon, and a striking color palette of bold fuchsia and teal. ⁠ ⁠ To start the project, we developed a style tile that extrapolated those branding elements into a cohesive visual scheme for the website. ⁠ ⁠ We then created a detailed custom shot list guide that outlined shot-for-shot the types of interactions, compositions, and brand feel we wanted the photographer to capture, ensuring we had the perfect shots for the site.⁠ ⁠ Using wireframes, we mapped out the visual layouts and content blocking for the site, allowing us to establish a cohesive informational and narrative flow before applying intricate details of visual design. ⁠ ⁠ Every Little Word's overall site aesthetic features clean layouts and blocks of soft color. In addition to the standard about and services pages, we designed a blog that allows Every Little Word to showcase their expertise in their own medium and team pages that highlight the depth of their organization.⁠ ⁠ Throughout the site, we incorporated custom icons to tell visual stories and add charm and emphasis. ⁠ ⁠ We also implemented foundational SEO and created a new sub logo for their To the Letter newsletter and LinkedIn headers. ⁠ ⁠ With this outstanding new website and accompanying materials, Every Little Word is poised to become a formidable force in content creation and grow their business to new heights.⁠ ⁠ See the full case study on our site now!
